What the FTC Updating Its Dot-Com Disclosures Means for Performance Marketers
Wednesday, August 24
Since the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced in early June that it’s looking at ways to update and modernize its Dot-com Disclosures — the commission’s guidance to businesses on digital advertising and marketing, first published in 2013 — performance and direct-to-consumer marketers have been buzzing about what such changes might look like. The PDMI, with the assistance of its Government Affairs and E-Commerce Councils, submitted a public comment to the FTC on Aug. 1, sharing its thoughts on how the FTC should proceed in its efforts.
In this special one-hour webinar, E-Commerce Council chairman Gregory Silvano of Buyist hosts a roundtable of industry attorneys — two of whom serve the PDMI as part of the Government Affairs Council — about what’s next in the process, what marketers should be most concerned about, and their hopes for a balanced and thoughtful update to these important regulatory guidelines.
Speakers include:
-
Leonard Gordon, Venable LLP
-
Daniel Kaufman, BakerHostetler
-
Damon Wright, Gordon Rees LLP
-
Gregory Silvano, Buyist (moderator)
